We select our projects in strategic locations for their solar, wind and water
resources, grid connection, logistics and proximity to transportation
infrastructure or point of consumption.

We have a project portfolio of more than 3.5 GW in Spain, including strategic

ALGECIRAS AND CADIZ BAYS PROJECT - PBAC

A pioneering and strategic project in Spain for the large-scale production of green ammonia in the vicinity of the Port of Algeciras, the second port in Europe and the fifth in the world with the highest maritime traffic of goods, through which more than 100,000 ships per year carry out the bunkering process.

Production will supply various sectors such as fertilizers, sustainable fuels for shipping and chemicals.

Renewable self-consumption generation in the province of Cádiz, highly competitive LCOE and dedicated hydrogen pipeline.

Phase 1: Photovoltaic solar + battery storage up to 400,000 tons/year of green ammonia in Q2 2029.

Phase 2: Photovoltaic solar + battery storage up to 800,000 tons/year of green ammonia in Q2 2030.

Phase 3: H₂ production from Phase 2 + additional H₂ production (500 MW) at the Los Barrios industrial plant to reach up to 1,187,000 tons/year of green ammonia in Q4 2030.

PROJECT VALDEPEÑAS, CIUDAD REAL

The Aviation sector is a pioneer in the adoption of sustainability policies in the supply chain of its activity. 125 MW electrolyzer project for the production of eSAF with alkaline technology with an annual production of 27,000 tons/year of e-SAF.

H2 ALPERUJO PROJECT (MARTOS, JAÉN)

This strategic project aims to address a waste management problem while also providing the market with a sustainable, competitive, and replicable energy solution. We make use of the olive oil industry´s residual by-product, alperujo, transforming it into various high-value products for the energy market.

HUELVA BAY PROJECT - PBH

We are developing green hydrogen projects for the production of e-methanol and e-SAF in different adjacent locations around the port of Huelva. These projects will be interconnected by rail transport:

  • Green methanol: 204,457 tons/year.
  • E-SAF: 73,486 tons/year.*

Our Huelva project will be powered entirely by renewable energy sourced from developments across the province of Huelva, reinforcing the region’s position as a leading hub for sustainable industrial activity.

HYBRIDIZATION TO PRODUCE GREEN H2

From Avalon Renovables, we already work on developing hybridized hydrogen production plants with photovoltaic plants, wind energy plants, and battery systems.

In this way, our projects can produce green hydrogen without consuming large amounts of energy from the network, and at highly competitive prices.
